Note for Finale users: MusAnalysis 2.0 currently works in Finale for Mac, but not for Windows. We’re working on figuring out why and will update the font as soon as it’s fixed.
MusAnalysis is a font that allows the user to input Roman numerals, inversion numbers, voice leading lines, functional analysis symbols, and lines directly into a music notation program (or other software), using either lyric or text entry. It’s designed with careful attention to spacing and stroke weight to make it highly legible at small sizes (8–14 points).
MusAnalysis is not intended for chord symbols, as that’s a whole other world of symbols and formats. It has basic chord functionality, but it’s intended primarily for Roman numeral analysis.
MusAnalysis works in any word processor, music notation program or other software that supports ligatures and kerning. Make sure these features are turned on for the glyphs to display correctly.

I use this frequently. It’s quite flexible, yet for most analyses it’s intuitive, fast and looks beautiful.

I recommend this very much for teachers and students of music analysis. It makes their work much-much easier.
