For Finale 25 through 27.2. This Finale plug-in copies a rhythm pattern from one source region (layer 1) to a destination region (any layers and any number of staves). The pitches are kept in the destination.
Only destination staves that match with the same number of notes will change. The plug-in is quite flexible and can work with ties and over barlines. Articulations from the source are copied to the destination.
When any visible layer in the destination region contains exactly the same number of notes a rhythmical replacement will be made. A tied note is considered as one single note regardless of how long it’s tied. Two notes of the same pitch with no tie between is two notes.
The pitch of the destination is kept at the rhythmical replacement. Any articulations found in the rhythm source will be copied to the destination.
The source is set by selecting JW Rhythm Copy – SET SOURCE from the plug-ins menu. To copy the rhythm so the destination, select JW Rhythm Copy – COPY from the plug-ins menu.
Installation
To install a plug-in on the Mac:
- Unzip the file you downloaded.
- Find out where your plug-ins folder is located in Finale 25 (or later) by looking in the Preferences dialog at the Folders page in Finale.
- Put the plug-in .bundle in that folder (or in a subfolder if you want it in a submenu to the Plug-ins menu). Please note that on recent Mac OS, the plug-ins folder is hidden by default (you need to reveal it).
- Restart Finale
To install a plug-in on Windows:
- Unzip the file you downloaded.
- Find out where your plug-ins folder is located by looking in the Edit/Preferences… (Program Options in earlier Finale versions) at the Folders page.
- Place the the plug-in .fxt file to that folder (or to a subfolder if you want it in a submenu to the Plug-ins menu)
- Restart Finale
Compatibility
64-bit Finale is required (Finale 25 and above).
Be sure to download the appropriate version for your operating system (Mac or Windows).
