For Finale 25 through 27.2. This Finale plug-in helps to find and correct cautionary accidentals in the document. It works differently than other cautionary accidentals solutions for music notation software, since it first provides a list with suggested accidental changes. In the next step, the user confirms which of the changes that should be made.
JW Accidentals contains numerous options to fine-tune the processing, handled through the Profile Editor.
Installation
To install a plug-in on the Mac:
- Unzip the file you downloaded.
- Find out where your plug-ins folder is located in Finale 25 (or later) by looking in the Preferences dialog at the Folders page in Finale.
- Put the plug-in .bundle in that folder (or in a subfolder if you want it in a submenu to the Plug-ins menu). Please note that on recent Mac OS, the plug-ins folder is hidden by default (you need to reveal it).
- Restart Finale
To install a plug-in on Windows:
- Unzip the file you downloaded.
- Find out where your plug-ins folder is located by looking in the Edit/Preferences… (Program Options in earlier Finale versions) at the Folders page.
- Place the the plug-in .fxt file to that folder (or to a subfolder if you want it in a submenu to the Plug-ins menu)
- Restart Finale
Compatibility
64-bit Finale is required (Finale 25 and above).
Be sure to download the appropriate version for your operating system (Mac or Windows).
