I absolutely love this piece and can’t wait to play this on so many occasions! As a violinist, I find Jessie’s writing to be very natural for the instrument and things that look complicated at first glance are so creatively feasible. I love her voicing of chords on string instruments, it is incredibly unique! It is a challenging duo, getting things lined up was tricky for the first and third movements especially.
100% recommend that every violinist and cellist play this at some point!
