PROGRAM NOTE
Bit of Everything was written as a sort of homage to some of the many musical genres that I adore. There is an improvisational spirit to the flute line that is somewhat jazz influenced, while the electronic track incorporates minimalism and Latin styles. The piece has a fun 5/4 groove, calling for the flutist to take on different characters and at times weave in and out of backing track texture.

PERFORMANCE NOTES
The flute should be slightly amplified in performance, in order to achieve a sonic balance with the electronic track. A monitor speaker is necessary for the performer to easily coordinate with the electronic track.
The entire piece is metered. Electronic track cues are in small notation. A practice track with metronome has been included in the accompanying materials for rehearsal purposes.
Timings for the electronic track are indicated at rehearsal letters in the score for rehearsal purposes.
